SanihaTopi [Topi Tragedy] is a vivid description of the circumstances prevailing in Pakistan against Ahmadiyys Jamā’at in 1974, particularly in Topi, a town in district Sawabi, Khyber Pakhtun Khawa, Pakistan.

At that time the agitation against Ahmadiyya Jamā’at , lead by some religious groups, had the full support and backing of law enforcing agencies of Bhutto regime.

The innocent Ahmadis were attacked, killed and their properties were destroyed, burnt and looted. They were denied the basic necessities of life and even their dead bodies were not allowed to be buried in graveyards.

Due to this critical condition, many Ahmadis had to leave their home and hearths and to take shelter in other places.

Topi is a small town in district Sawabi where an active Jamā’at was existing. The town is near to Kotha Sharif, a well known place of Hazrat Said Amīr rh, who predicted the appearance of Hazrat Imam Mehdī as, from Punjab. Many of Hazrat Said Amīr’s followers joined Ahmadiyya Jamā’at who were spread in different parts of the province, including Topi.

During the agitation, which was fully sponsored by the central government, the members of Topi Jamā’at were also attacked by thousands of miscreants and illiterate tribal people. How God, The Almighty, saved them is a very faith enriching story, which is described by Subedar Abdul Ghafoor Khan, ex-Afsar Hifazat, Rabwah and rearranged properly with necessary additions by MA shahid.
