India: Ahmadi Muslims host Eid Milan Party in Shimoga, Banglore


The dignitaries appreciated and spoke well about the community and it’s efforts and encouraged to spread it’s teachings to the sections of the general public which they felt was the need of the hour.

The Shimoga Branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community hosted a successful Eid Milan Party attended by K S Eshwarappa, the Deputy Chief Minister of the State of Karnataka, along with prominent guests representing various sections of society on the 28th of October.

The venue for the event was Royal Orchids Hotel in the heart of Shimoga, a city about 270 kilometers from Bangalore, in the state of Karnataka, in South India.

Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of South Zone Karnataka,  Muhammad Shaffiulla,  and the local president of Shimoga chapter, Mir Sirajul Haq played hosts for the event.

The Eid Milan Party was attended by politician, members of parliament and the legislative assembly; local corporators, and top brass of the police department of the district; head of the Red Cross Society, academicians, representatives of the press and members of civil society.          

The program was conducted primarily in the local Kannada language.

A short video documentary introducing the community and it’s work around the world was played.

The dignitaries appreciated and spoke well about the community and it’s efforts and encouraged to spread it’s teachings to the sections of the general public which they felt was the need of the hour.

They also promised to build their relationship with the community at various levels and places.

There was an exhibition of the translations of the Holy Quran in various languages of the world along with a counter for Muslim TV Ahmadiyya.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks by the local community president, Mir Sirajul Haq, and silent prayers led by the regional president, Muhammad Shaffiulla.

Many from print and broadcast media attended and the event was covered by many media outlets.
